Greetings, friends.
I apologize for the lack of blog entry last week. We were away for a family vacation for a few days, but I’m back in the saddle again, full speed ahead. We had a very good time on Zanzibar, filled with plenty of adventures, like swimming with dolphins, scuba diving, playing in the pool, and a fishing trip in a boat that confirmed for all of us that fishing is not the Belz boys’ sport of choice (5 hrs without a bite on rolling seas). At any rate, it is good to be back diving into life and work in Dar.
This week, since I am almost always the one to write the blog, I figured I’d let Holly write a blog entry about whatever she chose. So here she is:
As I listened to the prayer call this morning, of my neighbor next door, I was thinking about all the different cultures around the world. How each of them have some way of worshiping some sort of god. We all have a need or desire within us believe in something outside of our self. My heart breaks for those who spend their life in vain worshiping or praying to gods who don’t exist. The song came into my head, “O For a Thousand Tongues to Sing My Great Redeemers Praise.”, I was excited to think of all those who have chosen to believe in Jesus, one day singing together in praise to God. Until then, my prayer is for those near me that they would turn their desire for worship to the one who is real.
Blessings,
HOLLY
