Hello, friends. I’ve returned safely from another amazing training time in northern Uganda. As we prayed, God blessed our trip in some very exciting ways. I’ll put together a prayer letter soon, or maybe I can pull a video together, but for now, I’ll share a picture and summarize with these bullet points:
- Between 15-25 leaders at various times attended our training in a wide range of theological subjects.
- I preached in the village church, followed by a baby dedication where I was asked to name the child, so I gave her one of my favorite names, “Shekinah.” Following this we went to a river and I baptized 13 believers, and later found out crocodiles regularly swam in that river!
- I was asked to be the Uganda national leader for ReachGlobal in our partnership with this cluster of churches in northern Uganda. We have a great relationship growing!
- Since the power is only on for a few hours each night in northern Uganda, I’d get up early in the mornings to go for a run down the dirt roads, and would be followed by a gathering of giggling school children.
- Relationships were built and strengthened as we shared our hearts in how to grow God’s kingdom in Uganda.
- I was also asked to conduct another training in central Kenya with a long-time friend of mine, Kenyan pastor Kioko Mwangangi. He requested I try to do the training in Swahili, so I have my work cut out for me!
- Returning back to my family was a sweet blessing, and we all reaffirmed how sweet it is to belong in a family!
Thank you friends for your faithful prayers. God heard and answered! Pressing on, Eric
