Thought from Holly.
This week my brother Michael arrived from America. It is great having him here and he is the first family member we have seen in over a year. This is his first experience overseas and we have been able to process together what he is seeing and how it all fits together in God’s big plan. Why do some have so little while others have so much? How do we decide who to help and who we have to turn away when there are so many asking for help and there are so many needs.
He has been able to see some good things, like the beautiful oceans, the monkeys on our street and the friendly Tanzanian people. He even pointed out that the ceilings here in the houses are really high which gives the house a “bigger” feel and also helps with the heat. His perspective has helped me to remember to thank God for all the blessings we do have here.
Most of all it is just good to have a familiar face to talk to and laugh with and share our hearts with. Thanks Mike for making the trek out here and for blessing our family!
