Salama, praying friends,
I want to share with you my itinerary over the next several days so you can be praying for God to do wondrous works. Please also pray for Holly and the kids while I am away.
Dec.3 – 3:30AM departure from Dar es Salaam. Arrive in Nairobi, Kenya, and meet with Daystar University and Nairobi School of Theology leaders to discuss and make plans for me to teach in various locations with these institutions, as well as possibly establishing an extension department in Dar. Then head back to airport by 6PM to fly on to Entebbe, Uganda and meet with colleague Stu who is flying in from America. Arrive at guest house by 10PM.
Dec.4 – 3:00AM leave for Kampala to make 4AM bus, then travel by bus 8 hours to far northern province of Adjumani, 15 km from Sudan. Visit IDP refugee camps, offer assistance and encouragement, and discuss plans for future assistance. Then finish planning for next several days with EFCU leadership.
Dec.5 – Leave for village church services, preach, communion, baptisms, many church activities all day. Finish preparations for training.
Dec. 6-9 – Trainings on discipleship, cell church planting, leadership development – all day. Also conduct meetings with Evangelical Free Church of Uganda leaders to help them chart a course for the future, and address present needs. Pray with leaders, visit church members, etc.
Dec.10 – Leave at 6AM on 8 hr. bus ride back to Kampala. Meet with mission leader for the Pentecostal Churches of Uganda regarding his work and a potential partnership toward more training of pastors in Uganda. Then head to airport at catch 8PM flight back through Nairobi and arrive in Dar by midnight, home and crash!
