Allie shares about her life

HI!

This is Alyssa and I’m going to write the blog for this week. As of today (June 7th) I just finished all my assignments for 7th grade. This year I have been working on catching up on school from the past couple years. This past year I have been doing an online school at home. It is called Connections Academy. The program and the teachers have been super helpful with my current situation. They have all been very understanding. I am going to be using this same program for next year (8th grade). I am very happy that God has given me this opportunity for school, and hope in the future, I will be well enough to go to public high school.

As for my sickness, I am still… well… sick. It is hard to compare how I am doing from the past couple years, but I am figuring out some things about my body and how to help it. I do not have a lot of energy to do activities such as sports, or things that require lots of movement. Something I do enjoy doing is crafts. I have a craft room where I spend lots of hours working on different creations and projects. It is something that does not require a lot of energy but I still enjoy. I like to sew, and just use my imagination. I have made different toys for some of our friend’s kids.

Another thing I enjoy is my dog Loki. When we first got him, I was not so sure If I wanted him to be our family dog. However, he has been one of the best decisions I think our family has made. Loki has been such a joy to me. I play ball with him a bunch, and love him more than he can probably even comprehend in his little noggin. We are planning to take him on a family vacation this summer to the beach.

I am excited for a couple things this summer. The first thing is a family reunion we are having for my grandparents 50th anniversary. I am very excited to see all my cousins and hang out with them. We all have a lot of fun together. I am also happy for the family vacation we have planned, that I mentioned in the previous paragraph. We live in a beautiful forest, but it will be nice to get a change of scenery. I can’t wait to build sand castles (that Loki hopefully wont trample) and sit looking at the ocean.

God has given me so much to be thankful for. I have a wonderful family, a dog, a house, and many more things that lots of people around the world don’t have. I am truly grateful for everything God has given me. Some things I would ask prayer for is for God to continue to heal me, and that I will stay close to him no matter what struggles come my way. I hope this blog entry gave you some insight into my life and what is going on in my world. Thank you for all your prayers, and I hope you have an amazing day.

Sincerely, Alyssa/Allie
