Yesterday I preached at our home church from Ephesians 4:7-16 as we continue our series through the book of Ephesians. It was interesting that 20 months ago I preached at the same place on the same passage, but with additional study the sermon ended up being quite different. God’s Word continues to offer new insights!

The main point of the message was: We all receive different gifts of grace to grow the church toward maturity in Christ. Paul offers the antidote to division despite the diversity of different gifts of grace: 1) Embrace Christ’s sovereign and diverse gifts of grace (7-11), and 2) work to grow the church toward united maturity in Christ (12-16).
