How teachable are you? Proverbs 13:10 says, “Pride only breeds quarrels, but wisdom is found in those who take advice.” A week and a half ago, Pastor Rick shared in his sermon three qualities that describe someone God will use. Two of the three are referred to in this proberb – humility and teachability.

I hope these two qualities describe you as a leader and as a person. Pride and unteachability (not sure that’s a word) go hand in hand, and lead to a barrier between us and God, and between us and others in the family of God. No matter how much we may think we know, we always have room to grow. Let’s keep an open heart and mind, and seize every opportunity to receive from the Lord through His people.
