Saved by God’s Work for Good Works – Ephesians 2:8-10

Dear brothers and sisters,

Last Sunday I was asked to continue the preaching series our church is going through (the book of Ephesians) by preaching from three verses: Ephesians 2:8-10.  What a joy that was, for the 55-word passage decisively answers how we are saved and how we live once we are saved. It is one of clearest explanations of the Gospel in entire Bible. How would you answer the question: “What must I do to inherit eternal life?”

The main point of my message, and Paul’s writing, is: We have been saved by God’s grace through faith for good works.

Enjoy the sermon, and may it encourage you if you have been saved by God’s grace and are a Christ-trusting, Spirit-filled work of God. Alternatively, if you are uncertain, may it bring clarity where there is confusion, and may God’s truth lead you to place your faith entirely in the work of God, not in your own doing, your own works, or anyone or anything else.
