Please pray for Mali and Egypt

Dear ministry partners,

Please be in prayer for this next ministry trip. It will be a rather grueling training and travel schedule, but the time I get with my African brothers and sisters will be well worth it. Here are some of the specifics:

Overview: Praise God, Pathways is making inroads into north Africa! I will be returning to Mali to train another group of church planters who will be sent into unreached parts of the country. Then I go to Egypt to work with networks in two new locations.

Training last September with a different group of church planters in Mali.

Itinerary

  • Feb 23-24 – Travel to Bamako, Mali. Pray for a tight connection in Abidjan, Ivory Coast on the way to Bamako.
  • Feb 25 – Preach in church in Bamako and prepare for training.
  • Feb 26-29 – Train 14 church planters in a hybrid Pathways workshop.
  • March 1 – Travel to Egypt.
  • March 2-7 – Train two networks of pastors in Al Minya and Cairo, preparing to launch Pathways.
  • March 8 – Return home.

Prayer requests

Mali – Please pray for peace in Mali which is still at threat level 4 according to US Dept. of State. Pray for Emmanuel and Nema, coordinators for the network. Pray for translation work and all preparation beforehand. Pray for the 14 church planters who will be trained and then sent to plant churches in unreached parts of the country.

Egypt – Please pray for coordinators Ashraf and Fadi in Egypt. Pray that Eric will make the most important connections, preparing the two networks in Al Minya and Cairo to launch Pathways in the near future. Pray for financial provision which has been a challenge as the coordinators are requiring at least $500 to cover expenses.

Please also pray for Eric’s focus and energy to persevere. A number of times on this trip, he is traveling through the night, then landing and immediately doing training/preaching.

Mali is in RED, and Egypt is in north.

Thank you.
