How exciting and inspiring it was to see the Word of God being taught in Africa! Having attended several stateside trainings, it was so wonderful to see the effort of those trainings being used in a cross-cultural context!

The venues were open air, the seats hard plastic and there were no snacks from Costco during break time but the people were eager to learn and more importantly to know God better. Their spirit of sincerity and humbleness ministered to my heart.

I was also extremely impressed with Eric and his team-mate, Aaron, and their zeal for sharing how to study the Bible. It was clear that they both have an intense love for this book.

The verse that came to mind frequently was:

Isaiah 55:11 – So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.

What a powerful promise from God about the purpose of His word and what a privilege to be called to share it!!
