Just over a week ago, Adam, Alyssa, Holly, and I traveled to Kentucky for several reasons. One of the main reasons was to drop Adam off at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY – one of the best rated conservative evangelical theological schools in the country, with Al Mohler as its president. He began his classes a couple days ago, the first in a long series toward earning his Master of Divinity degree. He is so excited to be studying theology, Greek, hermeneutics, and many other courses that will prepare him for whatever area of ministry God moves him toward. He will be living with his best friend Keegan, who was also his roommate going through college at Western. They are in the same classes, and are having a blast exploring this new phase in their lives.<\/p>\n

Adam is embarking on a long journey toward his Master of Divinity degree at Southern Seminary.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The girls certainly shed some tears in saying goodbye, but while we were there, Alyssa toured the campus and met with admissions counselors as she considers possibly attending Boyce College next year, which is on the same campus as Southern. Being close to her brother has great appeal to Allie.<\/p>\n

Alyssa is interested in Boyce College, partly because it is a great college, and partly because her brother is attending seminary next door.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

In addition to dropping Adam off at school, my sister and her family and my mom live in Southern Kentucky, so we spent several days with them.<\/p>\n

Although we were missing Andrew, we caught most of the family.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

I was invited to preach at their church, so I preached in the Sunday morning and evening services and spoke at a Bible study group on Monday night.<\/p>\n

It was a wonderful time with family, and I’m so thankful Holly and Alyssa were able to join for that trip.<\/p>\n
