As this gets posted, I am in the air on my way to a new country, new partners, and a new network in Mozambique, southern Africa. This is my first time in this Portuguese-speaking country, and I am eager to develop new relationships and explore how we may be able to serve these people with Pathways Bible Training. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A brief search of the internet yields these results on the history of Mozambique: “Mozambique’s history includes\u00a0pre-colonial Bantu migrations and Arab trade, followed by Portuguese colonization beginning in the late 15th century after Vasco da Gama’s arrival in 1498. The nation gained independence from Portugal in 1975 after a long liberation war, but then entered a devastating 16-year civil war (1977-1992) between the ruling Frelimo party and the Renamo movement.\u00a0The country continues to address the legacy of conflict and poverty, while developing its economy.”\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mozambique \u2013 November 6-15<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This will be my first time to Mozambique, southern Africa. I\u2019ll be working with a new partner, Dr. Isaias, in this Portuguese-speaking country. My colleague Mike and I will be training in two locations, Maputo (capital) and Macia (smaller city to north). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
