After each full day of training pastors and wives in Shinyanga, the cluster of Baptist churches in NW Tanzania had arranged for me to preach evangelistic messages each evening in an open lot where the community could gather to hear God’s Word.

After lively choirs sang and danced (mostly danced with some lip sync to Swahili songs), I would get up to preach the Gospel.

The second night, we had four people come forward to receive Christ, such as this man, Daniel Busagala, whom Pastor Yegela knew and was going to disciple.

The third night, there were many more who came forward for prayer.

God has great plans for Shinyanga, and the pastors are hungry for further training. May God bless the study and preaching of His Word as we equip these leaders to minister in their communities.
