Over the past 3+ months that we’ve been in America, we’ve had many wonderful opportunities to reconnect with dear friends and family, share about the exciting things God is doing in East Africa, and cast a vision for what the future holds.
In the midst of all this, we’ve also had some fun adventures, such as biking with the boys along the top of the Grand Canyon. What an amazing testimony to God’s creative power and majesty!
As I write this entry, Holly and I are at mission meetings with ReachGlobal in Minneapolis. The day after we return to Seattle, I leave to go on an adventure I’ve been dreaming about for many years. From July 12-14, I will be climbing Mt. Rainier with my brother in law, Michael (in picture on left), and his friend Josh (center). It is a technical climb requiring ice axes, crampons, being roped together and crevasse rescue gear. Please pray for safety and success in conquering this 14,411 foot glacier-covered giant.
By God’s grace, the family is continuing to improve, due to the faithful prayers of so many of you, and some good rest and healthy nutrition for Holly and Andrew. While we are so LOVING the many wonderful relationships and nice things in America, there is a part of us (bigger in some than others) that is very ready to get back to our life and work in Africa. I will try to keep you updated on our plans as that time gets closer. Pressing on, Eric
