Greetings from the “American Heartland.”
Yes, I’m in Iowa for a few days, participating in trainings for local pastors to be equipped so they can join us in working to train African pastors. This is an important part of what I’m doing these days.
Here’s the strategy: we have so many African pastors desiring training that there is no way I and a small team of ReachGlobal equippers are able to do it all. So we are looking for experienced pastors and leaders who are gifted in teaching God’s Word to join us. These pastors will commit to do at least one training each year along with a partner, and they will build a relationship with a certain community of pastors in East Africa. I have gathered the groups together, and have started the trainings, and then I pass the baton on to these American pastors who can continue on while I find other African pastors in need of training.
We have been doing this in a few locations, but there are so many more to be trained. If you are interested in helping us, or know of a pastor that might be interested, PLEASE contact me so I can follow up. Pressing on, Eric
