Dear prayer partners, I leave in a few days for a very involved, diverse set of trainings in Kenya. Please pray with me for God’s blessing on all that will transpire. Here are some of the details:

Pathways Bible Training in Kenya

Dates: January 10 – February 1, 2025

Key People:

• Kyle Summers from from our home church (Littlerock Community Fellowship) will be joining me as my travel partner on this trip.
• Coordinators in Matiliku are Kioko, Shadrack, and Onesmus.
• Coordinator in Nairobi is Silas.
• Coordinator in Mombasa is Joseph.

Overview: I will be offering three different trainings for three networks in very different parts of Kenya (urban, rural, and coastal). This is a long trip with many elements, so extra prayers are appreciated.

Itinerary

• January 10-11 – Travel to Kenya.
• January 12 – Preach and lead worship in church in Nairobi.
• January 13–17 – Travel to Matiliku, southern Kenya, and offer refresher workshop to network there and do ministry in churches.
• January 18-19 – Graduation for Matiliku network. Preach in churches and lead worship.
• January 20-24 – Back to Nairobi, launch new network.
• January 25-26 – Travel to Mombasa, east Kenya, and preach/lead worship.
• January 27-30 – Train network of church planters to Somalia and northeast Kenya.
• January 31 – Feb 1 – Travel home.

Prayer Points

1. Praise God for opportunities to train all these ministry leaders and for the coordinators who have been working hard on all preparations.
2. Please pray for Kyle to have a positive experience in Kenya (his first time in Africa). Pray for great connections with young people in Kenya, for worship opportunities, and for God’s leading in his life.
3. Pray for the Matiliku network in southern Kenya. I finished Pathways training with them July 2019 just before COVID, but delayed graduation. They are eager for a refresher workshop and then to graduate their network. They are all pastors in the Africa Inland Church denomination and have been multiplying Pathways throughout their region.
4. Pray for Silas and the network in Nairobi as they receive workshop #1 (Jonah) and launch into new ways of studying, understanding, and preaching God’s Word, passing the training on to many others.
5. Pray for the Mombasa network of church planters going to Somalia and northeast Kenya. They will be in difficult locations experiencing persecution, so pray I can equip them well in God’s Word to fulfill their calling.
6. Please pray for Holly while I am away as she tries to recover from some health challenges. Praise God Andrew will be at home while I’m away.
