Pathways for Women!

Written by: Holly Belz

What a blessing it was to have a Pathways for Women training this last weekend at our church. The Director, Laura Carter, was able to come to our home church and provide a wonderful weekend of digging into the word and learning how to study the Bible for ourselves.

The Pathways for women differs from the one that Eric and his team usually give. For one thing the goal is not to train pastors and teach them how to preach. It is designed to be reproduced and used to teach other women whether in our neighborhoods, our family, our children or even in other countries.

I have been personally excited to have this training in our church so that we can provide a tool to not only help other women near us but also globally.  For example, there is a lady in our church from the country of Columbia. I was thrilled to connect her with Laura, the Director, who used to serve as a missionary in Columbia. After attending the training this weekend, they have made an exciting connection and have a heart to go to Columbia together and bring the Bible training to women there. What a blessing!

If you are interested in bringing this training to your church or area, feel free to contact Laura at laura.carter@efca.org. She would love to talk and dream with you!

To bless the women while they studied the Word, it was a privilege for my friend Keith and me (Eric) to prepare and serve breakfast and lunch to the ladies.
