Kenya Coast Training April 2011

Out in a village on Sunday following preaching

Greetings, friends. This has been a full week of training a group of 15 specially chosen leaders from a church planting movement on the Kenya Coast north of Mombasa. These leaders have been selected to be equippers who will take the Bible study methods we have been giving them and teach them to other pastors and leaders in the movement. In this way, we are reaching our goal of “Develop, Empower and Release.”

Following some initial days of preparation and strategizing with my colleagues in Kenya, and a long day of travel and preaching on Sunday, we hit the ground running on Monday. Each day has brought greater clarity in offering equipping tools to these leaders.

The workshop ends on Friday, and then Saturday I leave at 4:30AM to head to the bus station for a 10 hour bus ride back to Dar. Ahhh, how sweet it will be to be reunited with my family. We’re all looking forward to that!

Thank you again for your prayers. Praise God that He is most certainly working in exciting ways throughout East Africa! Pressing on by God’s grace, Eric
